Those Clive Tanaka and California Wives tracks were both beautiful and uplifting in a time when too many tracks just go for the "bummer" vibes. Also great to hear some new stuff from La Sera, whose upcoming S/T LP should be exciting.

On a related note, I've noticed that a lot of the hyperlinks in earlier posts are messed up - I'll go back and fix them sometime. For now, though, it should be fairly obvious where they should be taking you, even if they just lead to 404s.

Gorgeous Korallreven track "The Truest Faith" was the highlight for me this week - grab it over at GvB. Chrome Sparks' grammatically-challenged "I'll Be Wait For Sadness Comes Along" was also a beautiful surprise. And Kurt Vile's new track "In My Time" is only increasing my anticipation for this Saturday's show.

So we definitely had a few pitchers of Stella before this show, which would explain the Big Star, the Belle & Sebastian, and the fact that I used the phrase "stone cold classic" to describe both of those tracks. Nevertheless, we're upstanding guys, and we stand by our selections, in particular Dead Gaze, which we played last week & who is one of our current favorite up-and-comers.
