Julian Lynch was definitely the highlight this week, unless you count the Beach Boys, whose "Disney Girls (1957)" has been an important musical touchstone of the past few years. Bass Drum of Death is from the Cats Purring collective in Oxford, MS and is blowing up fast, and Panda Bear's new album Tomboy is sure to make critical and cultural waves in the near future.

Chrome Sparks' grammatically-challenged "I'll Be Wait For Sadness Comes Along" was also a beautiful surprise. And Kurt Vile's new track "In My Time" is only increasing my anticipation for this Saturday's show.
